Tooned Within A Hare

from Ends 'n' Odds by Tom Smith

/

about

This song, one of the few filks I'm aware of about WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT?, is a good idea to which I don't feel I did justice. First, structurally, it's an odd mishmash of "Superman Sex Life Boogie" and "Domino Death". Second, several of the jokes aren't well thought out, or are at least merely tepid. Mostly, it's just too long.

If I were ever to try and salvage this one, I'd likely rewrite it in the same style as "Get Outa Here", the song Jessica Rabbit sang in the movie. Even though it'd be slower, it'd likely be shorter and punchier and funnier. But, I thought a lot of this not too long after I first wrote it. Which shows you what I know.
