My Dinner With Lao Tze

from Ends 'n' Odds by Tom Smith

/

about

This is one of those songs that exists solely for the puns. Y'think it's easy to come up with a pun like that? I sit there for HOURS, trying to put together words that both roughly sound like the phrase I'm aiming for and form a coherent sentence. And then I've gotta back track and lead you there with the rest of the lyrics.

Okay, the song also exists for the chance to sing Stan Rogers. I was still feeling my way around vocally, having convinced myself that I had a good voice but still having no idea what to do with it.
